July Pensions: Official Two-Phase Payment Schedule Announced
The official schedule for the payment of July pensions has been announced by e-EFKA (Electronic National Social Security Fund), informing retirees of the exact dates their accounts will be credited. Payments will be made in late June and, as is standard practice, will be divided into two phases based on whether beneficiaries are classified as Salaried (Mishotoi) or Non-Salaried (Mi Mishotoi).
Phase One: Non-Salaried and Private Sector Payments
Payments are scheduled to begin on Thursday, June 25, 2026. On this date, primary pensions will be paid to beneficiaries from the former funds for the Non-Salaried, which include OAEE (Self-Employed Professionals’ Insurance Organization), OGA (Agricultural Insurance Organization), and ETAA (Unified Fund for Independent Professionals).
Concurrently, primary pensions granted after the establishment of the Unified Social Security Fund (EFKA), under the provisions of Law 4387/2016, will be credited via the OPS-EFKA (Integrated Information System) platform. Additionally, all private sector auxiliary (supplementary) pensions without exception will be paid on Thursday, June 25, covering both salaried and non-salaried retirees.
Phase Two: Salaried and Public Sector Payments
The second phase of the schedule will follow on Monday, June 29, 2026. At that time, primary pensions will be paid to beneficiaries from the former Salaried Funds. This category includes IKA-ETAM (Social Insurance Institute), bank employee funds, OTE (Hellenic Telecommunications Organization), and DEI (Public Power Corporation), as well as other integrated funds such as TSEAPGSO and TSP-HSAP.
Furthermore, pensions for NAT (Seamen’s Pension Fund), ETAT, and ETAP-MME (Unified Insurance Fund for Media Employees) will be paid on the same day. Monday’s schedule also includes the payment of primary and auxiliary pensions for Public Sector (Civil Service) retirees.
Availability of Funds via ATMs
An important clarification for retirees concerns the standard banking practice regarding fund availability. Specifically, pension amounts are typically made available for withdrawal via Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) starting from the afternoon of the working day preceding the official payment date.
Following this rule, for the first installment of payments, funds will begin to be credited gradually from the afternoon of Wednesday, June 24, 2026. For the second installment, since the payment is set for Monday and the weekend intervenes, the amounts will begin appearing in bank accounts from the afternoon of Friday, June 26, 2026.
