Aktor Group Acquires Building Complex in Paiania for €45.55 Million
Aktor Group (Όμιλος Aktor) has announced a significant real estate investment, entering into an agreement to acquire a large building complex in the Paiania region of Attica. The total transaction price amounts to €45.55 million ($49.33 million), marking a pivotal step for the company's residential and operational reorganization. The official disclosure to the investing public was made in accordance with Regulation (EU) 596/2014 of the European Parliament and the rules of the Athens Stock Exchange (Χρηματιστήριο Αθηνών).
Transaction Details
The agreement was signed on August 14, 2026, via a memorandum of understanding (private agreement) between "AKTOR STONE Holdings and Real Estate Single Member S.A." (AKTOR STONE ΣΥΜΜΕΤΟΧΩΝ ΚΑΙ ΑΚΙΝΗΤΩΝ ΜΟΝΟΠΡΟΣΩΠΗ Α.Ε.), a 100% subsidiary of Aktor, and the seller, "Europe Holdings S.A." (ΕΥΡΩΠΗ HOLDINGS Α.Ε.). Following similar market movements, such as the dual agreement for the sale of an office complex, the acquisition involves six land parcels in the VIPA-VIOPA (Industrial and Business Park) zone of Paiania, covering a total surface area of approximately 62,623 square meters. Included within these plots is a complex of seven buildings and smaller structures totaling 27,597.90 sq.m., as well as an additional building of 2,659.90 sq.m.
Financing and Timeline
The total amount of €45,550,000 ($49,330,000) will be covered through a combination of the Group’s own equity and external financing, during a period characterized by a strong inflow of capital into major real estate deals. As clarified in the announcement, the required financing is expected to be secured from a credit or financial institution. This may be facilitated through leasing or another equivalent financial structure tailored to the transaction's needs. According to the timeline, the signing of the final sale and purchase agreement is expected to be completed by September 30, 2026, subject to the fulfillment of standard closing conditions for such deals.
Strategic Objective and Utilization
The property in question already hosts all of Aktor Group’s activities under existing lease agreements. Concurrently, the same facilities house other high-quality tenants. The completion of the acquisition serves the Group's need to secure owned facilities that can support its continuously expanding activities in the long term.
Through this investment, Aktor aims to gradually centralize and further integrate its functions into a single, cohesive corporate space. At the same time, management has expressed its intention to explore further development and utilization of the properties, following the international trend for the creation of large and iconic urban regenerations. The ultimate goal is the conversion of the facilities into a state-of-the-art corporate campus, to the extent that regulatory and urban planning conditions permit the implementation of such a project.
